RIAD SAMSARA, Marrakesh – A Smart Stay in the City
About the Hotel
Rooms & Accommodations
Riad Samsara offers three air-conditioned rooms with fireplaces and safes. The Hibiscus room has a king-size bed and burgundy marble bathroom. The Olivia suite features a hand-painted ceiling and hot-red bathroom. All rooms include private bathrooms with showers and views of the tiled courtyard draped in bougainvillea and roses.
Dining & Breakfast
Milouda serves traditional Moroccan dishes including tagine, tangia, and bastilla. Breakfast is served each morning on the roof terrace with views over the medina rooftops. The two dining rooms open into the courtyard with mandarin trees and fountains.
Location & Access
Riad Samsara is in the northwest of the Medina wall, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is 1 km from Jardin Majorelle and Musee Yves Saint Laurent, 1.5 km from Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and 2.5 km from Badi Palace. You can park at the end of the street. An airport shuttle is available upon request.
Nearby Experiences
The medina's narrow streets contain souks selling leather, clothing, and spices. Djemaa El Fna square features juice stalls, water sellers, snake charmers, dancing boys, storytellers, and magicians. Guests can visit Bahia Palace and the Saadian tombs. For adventure, combine with stays at Douar Samra mountain refuge in Imlil for Mount Toubkal hikes.
Property Features
This restored medina house has a zellij-tiled courtyard with bougainvillea and roses. The roof terrace offers medina rooftop views. The property includes two salons with tadelakt plaster walls, log fires, and silk cushions. You can enter the Medina through 'Kbour Chou' gate.

Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel is deeply nestled in the old medina's narrow alleys, making it a unique and authentic stay. The rooms are well-appointed and cozy, but the lack of basic toiletries was a downside. The service was exceptional, with helpful airport shuttle services available. The location offers a genuine experience away from the main tourist areas, perfect for exploring the alleys. The dining, highlighted by freshly caught fish, was a delightful experience. Overall, a charming hotel with character but lacking some essential room amenities.
